Bozeman sits in the Gallatin Valley with the Bridger Mountains standing over the north end of Main Street like a wall. The town started in 1864 as a wagon-road stop for miners, became a college town, and lately turned into the fastest-growing small city in the Rockies, which is why longtime locals say Bozangeles with a mix of eye-roll and affection. The white M on the Bridger foothills is the hike everyone does first. Hyalite Canyon is where they go for ice climbing, trout and a lake at the end of a dirt road. The Gallatin River runs clear enough in September that you can watch the fish refuse your fly.

Our Bozeman collection keeps its eyes on the Bridgers. The crewneck carries the range in a four-layer ridgeline print in slate blue and ember with the town name set below in a tall grotesque, the colors of the valley at first light in October. The tee is simpler, Bozeman over the 1864 founding year and a single peak, built for Peets Hill at sunset and the Saturday farmers market at the fairgrounds. The mug and sticker use the same ridgeline.

It is all original artwork, printed to order in the USA and shipped with tracking. We make it for the students who never left, the ranch families who were here before the airport got busy, and anyone who moved away and still calls the 406 home.

Why we love Bozeman

  • ✦The Bridgers rise straight off the end of Main Street
  • ✦The M trail is the unofficial first hike for every new arrival
  • ✦Hyalite Canyon has ice climbing, trout and a lake, all on one dirt road
  • ✦The Gallatin is a blue-ribbon trout river twenty minutes from downtown
  • ✦Still a ranch and college town underneath the new growth

Best time to go: September for dry trails on the Bridgers and hopper season on the Gallatin; January for cold-smoke powder in Bridger Canyon.
