Austin is the Texas city that swims at lunch. Barton Springs holds at 68 degrees all year, Lady Bird Lake fills with paddleboards before most offices open, and when the sun drops toward the Hill Country, a million and a half bats pour out from under the Congress Avenue Bridge while the crowd on the rail cheers. Add the Greenbelt, Mount Bonnell at sunset, breakfast tacos on South Congress and a Capitol dome taller than the one in Washington, and you get the town O. Henry called the City of the Violet Crown and everyone else just calls ATX.

Our Austin collection is drawn for that mix of spring water, limestone and live music. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a bat-flight-at-dusk badge in spring teal and sunset coral, built for cool-front mornings and chilly spring floats. The tee keeps it simple with a hand-lettered Austin arc and the 1839 founding year, light enough for the Trail in August. The mug and sticker pack use the same artwork, so the set reads as one design on your desk or your water bottle.

Every piece is original art from independent designers, printed to order in the USA and shipped in days. It is made for the people who moved here last decade, the ones who were here before the cranes, and anyone who left and still measures a good day by whether it included Barton Springs.

Why we love Austin

  • ✦Barton Springs stays 68 degrees whether it is January or July
  • ✦The Congress Avenue bat flight is the largest urban bat colony in North America
  • ✦Breakfast tacos are a food group here, not a trend
  • ✦The Greenbelt puts a limestone creek canyon ten minutes from downtown

Best time to go: Late March and April for bluebonnets and the first swims at Barton Springs; October for the first cool fronts and bat flights at dusk.

Austin apparel FAQ

Is this official City of Austin merchandise?+

No. Every Austin design here is original artwork from independent designers. We are not affiliated with the City of Austin, the University of Texas or any festival or venue.

Is the Austin tee heavy or lightweight?+

The tee is a midweight ring-spun cotton that stays breathable through a Texas summer. The crewneck is a 50/50 cotton-poly fleece for cool fronts and spring mornings. Each product page lists the exact garment and weight.

How do the sizes run?+

Our shirts and sweatshirts use a standard unisex fit that runs true to size. Every product page has a measurement chart, and most styles are available from S through 3XL.
