Acadia is the national park that fits on an island. Pink granite mountains drop straight into the Atlantic on Mount Desert Island, and from the top of Cadillac Mountain you can watch the first sunrise in the United States hit the water before anyone else in the country sees it. Thunder Hole booms when the tide is right, Jordan Pond sits glass-flat under the Bubbles, and the carriage roads Rockefeller built wind through the woods on stone bridges that look older than the trees. Lobster boats work the harbors below Bass Harbor Head Light, and in October the whole island turns red and gold.
Our Acadia collection starts with a hand-engraved Bass Harbor Head Light on its granite ledge, a lobster boat passing in the swell and spruce on the headland. More scenes are coming for the Cadillac sunrise, the Jordan Pond Bubbles and the carriage-road bridges. The crewneck and hoodie are for a cold dawn on the summit; the tee and the mug are for the popovers afterward.
