Big Sky, Montana

Big Sky is a single pyramid of a mountain with a community gathered at its feet. Lone Peak stands 11,166 feet over the Gallatin Canyon, visible from the river, from the Meadow and from every window in Mountain Village, and in winter it holds more skiable terrain than almost anywhere else in the country with lift lines that barely exist. The place was dreamed up in 1973 by newscaster Chet Huntley, who wanted a quiet mountain town halfway between Bozeman and Yellowstone. He got it. Summer belongs to the Gallatin, to Ousel Falls at the end of a short trail and to Beehive Basin when the wildflowers come up in July.

Our Big Sky collection is all about that one peak. The crewneck carries Lone Mountain in a clean two-tone silhouette with a wide Montana sky above it in storm blue and frost, the town name set beneath in a sturdy slab serif. The tee is more open, Big Sky in tall letters with the 1973 line and a thin horizon rule, built for the drive up the Canyon and for the Town Center on a summer night. The mug and sticker carry the same peak.

Everything is original artwork, printed to order in the USA and shipped with tracking. It is for the lift ops who stay for summer, the Bozeman families who make the Canyon drive every weekend, and anyone who stood on the tram deck once and could not stop talking about it.
