Savannah was drawn on a grid of public squares in 1733, and twenty-two of them are still there, each one a small park of live oaks, Spanish moss and benches that invite you to do nothing for a while. Jones Street runs brick and ironwork between them. Forsyth Park spreads out at the south end with its white fountain, River Street drops down the bluff to the cobblestones and the ships, and Bonaventure Cemetery sits on the river under oaks so heavy with moss they seem to be in mourning. You can carry your drink from square to square in a to-go cup, which explains the city's nickname, the Hostess City, better than any brochure.

Our Savannah collection is drawn for that canopy. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a magnolia-and-moss badge in moss green and old brick, the colors of Jones Street in late afternoon, and it is the right weight for a November evening on River Street. The tee is cleaner, a hand-lettered Savannah arc with the 1733 founding year, light enough for a Tybee day in July. The mug and sticker use the same artwork for a matched set.

Everything is original art from independent designers, printed to order in the USA and shipped in days. It is for people born in the Historic District, students who came for art school and stayed, and anyone who left and still slows down when they see Spanish moss.

Why we love Savannah

  • ✦Twenty-two public squares, laid out in 1733, still anchor the whole downtown
  • ✦Forsyth Park's fountain has been the city's postcard since 1858
  • ✦You can walk the Historic District with a drink in hand, legally
  • ✦Wormsloe's oak avenue runs a mile and a half under a single green tunnel

Best time to go: Mid-March through April when the azaleas peak under the live oaks and the squares are at their greenest; October and November for cool, bright walking weather.

Savannah apparel FAQ

Are these official Savannah or SCAD merchandise?+

No. Every Savannah design is original artwork from independent designers. We have no affiliation with the City of Savannah, SCAD, the Savannah Bananas or any local business.

Is the Savannah mug microwave safe?+

Yes. It is a ceramic 11 oz or 15 oz mug with the magnolia artwork fired into the glaze, so it is both microwave and dishwasher safe. The same art is on the crewneck, tee and sticker.

How do the Savannah shirts fit?+

The tee and crewneck use a standard unisex cut that runs true to size, with a measurement chart on every product page. Most styles are available from S through 3XL.
