Destin started as a fishing camp in 1845 when a New England captain named Leonard Destin dropped anchor at East Pass, and the harbor has smelled like diesel and bait ever since. The Pass puts deep Gulf water closer to shore than almost anywhere else on the coast, which is why the charter fleet lining Destin Harbor is the biggest in Florida and why the boats come back flying grouper and snapper flags by mid-afternoon. On the bay side of the Marler Bridge, Crab Island is a sandbar that turns into a floating party every summer weekend. On the Gulf side, Henderson Beach State Park keeps thirty-foot dunes of sugar-white sand next to water the color of a bottle of glass cleaner.

Our Destin collection is built around that fish on the flag.
