Telluride is a dead-end street at the top of a box canyon, and that is exactly the point. Colorado Avenue runs straight at the cliffs until the road quits and Bridal Veil Falls takes over, 365 feet of water hanging off the back wall. The whole town is a National Historic Landmark District, the Sheridan Opera House still books shows, and the free gondola lifts you over the ridge to Mountain Village in thirteen minutes while the San Juans do their best impression of the Alps. Old timers will tell you the name came from miners muttering To-Hell-You-Ride on the way in, and nobody has corrected them.

Our Telluride collection is built on the view from the Valley Floor. The crewneck carries a layered silhouette of the box canyon with the falls tucked in the notch, printed in rust, slate and canyon-wall cream. The tee sets the town name in a tall mining-camp serif above the 1878 founding year, the kind of thing you pull on for the Bear Creek Trail or a late-season lap before the lifts close. The mug and sticker carry the same canyon artwork.

All of it is original and printed to order in the USA. We make it for the people who moved here for one winter and stayed ten, for the festival regulars, and for anyone who has ever ridden the last gondola down with their head out the window.

Why we love Telluride

  • ✦The town ends where the box canyon walls begin
  • ✦Bridal Veil Falls is the tallest free-falling waterfall in Colorado
  • ✦The gondola is free, runs until midnight, and doubles as the town commute
  • ✦Almost every building on Colorado Avenue is a protected 1880s original

Best time to go: Late September for gold aspens on Last Dollar Road; February for the deepest snow in the San Juans.

Telluride apparel FAQ

Are these licensed by the Telluride ski resort?+

No. Our designs are original artwork from independent designers. We have no affiliation with Telluride Ski & Golf, Mountain Village, or the Town of Telluride.

Which Telluride design works best as a gift?+

The crewneck with the box canyon silhouette is our most-gifted piece because it reads clearly from across the room. If you are unsure on size, the mug and sticker set uses the same artwork and fits everyone.

Do the sweatshirts run true to size?+

Yes. Our crewnecks fit true to size with a relaxed body. Many customers size up once for a layered, over-the-base-layer fit. Each product page has a measurement chart in inches.
