Santa Monica is where Los Angeles runs out of land, and it makes the most of the edge. Palisades Park stretches a mile and a half of palms along the bluff above the beach, the pier has reached out over the water since 1909, and the Strand bike path runs south past the volleyball nets toward Venice with the whole bay in view. Montana Avenue has the boutiques and the coffee lines, Main Street has the surf shops and the Sunday farmers' market, and Tongva Park turned a parking lot into hills, overlooks and a playground. June Gloom hangs over everything until noon, and then the light comes in and you understand why the rent is what it is.

Our Santa Monica collection is drawn from that bluff. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a palms-over-the-bay badge in Pacific blue and sand with a sunset-gold accent and the 1886 incorporation year, which is exactly what a marine-layer morning calls for. The tee is lighter, the city name over a thin wave line, right for a ride down the Strand or an afternoon on the sand. The mug and sticker set share the same artwork.
