Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Steamboat Springs is a ranch town that happens to have a ski mountain, and it has never pretended otherwise. Lincoln Avenue still has a western-wear store with a cowboy on the sign, the Winter Carnival sends kids skiing down the main street behind horses every February, and the Yampa River runs through the middle of town slow enough to tube in July. Howelsen Hill has been launching ski jumpers since 1915, longer than any other ski area in Colorado, and after a day on the bigger mountain across the valley, locals soak at Strawberry Park Hot Springs under the stars. Everyone here just calls it the Boat.

Our Steamboat collection takes its cue from that cowboy-on-skis spirit. The crewneck carries a hat-and-skis badge over a Yampa Valley ridgeline in saddle brown and river blue, the colors of Lincoln Avenue at dusk. The tee is a cleaner take, Steamboat Springs in a tall western slab serif with the 1900 line, made for the drive over Rabbit Ears Pass and for Fish Creek Falls when it runs full in June. The mug and sticker carry the same badge.
