Mammoth Lakes, California

Mammoth Lakes sits at 7,881 feet on the Eastside of the Sierra, where Highway 395 runs past hot creeks, lava flows and the longest ski season in California. The mountain regularly spins lifts into June, and some years into July. When the snow finally goes, the Lakes Basin opens up: Lake Mary, Lake George, Horseshoe and Twin Lakes, all a short drive from town and ringed with trails. Devils Postpile stacks its basalt columns a few miles west, Rainbow Falls drops below it, and Minaret Vista gives you the jagged skyline that locals use as a compass.

Our Mammoth collection is cut for that altitude. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a ski-and-ridgeline badge in granite grey and sky blue with the 1984 incorporation year, heavy enough for a parking-lot beer after last chair. The tee is a lighter Mammoth Lakes wordmark with a single peak for a summer hike up to Crystal Lake or a float on Lake Mary. The mug and sticker share the same artwork for the cabin shelf and the ski rack.
